A 42+ years of practical experience as contract administrator, Architect, primarily under private forms of HKIA / HKIS / HKICM Standard Forms of Building Contracts and Nominated Sub-Contracts with assessment and determination on time and cost claims;
A combined 20+ years of practical experience on construction dispute resolution as professional technical arbitrator, mediator, adjudicator, expert witness and advocate;
A 14+ years of practical experience as professional technical Dispute Resolution Advisor and Dispute Avoidance and Resolution Advisor for the HK SAR Government Architectural Services Department and Housing Department respectively on design and build government projects adopting New Engineering Contracts and housing projects using the Housing Authority General Conditions of Contract;
With university teaching since 2013, a solid 8+ years of serving as a teaching professor on law, construction law, construction contract and administration, dispute resolution, international construction contracts and international arbitration at university’s on undergrad and post-grad programmes;
A combined 15+ years of being a member of Appeal Tribunal (Building) and the disciplinary board member for Authorised Person, Registered Structural Engineer, Registered Geotechnical Engineer and Registered Contractors under HK Cap. 123 Building Ordinance and the Hong Kong Institute of Architects; and
A 16+ years of being the programme leaders on various training programmes to qualify and accredit construction and legal professionals to become construction arbitrators, mediators, expert witnesses and adjudicators (under the United Kingdom the Scheme (England and Wales) and HK Cap. 652 Security of Payment Ordinance) for various construction professional organisations in Hong Kong.
